Ghost Hunt – Crich Tramway Museum
The National Tramway Museum is a tram museum located in Crich, Derbyshire. The museum features over 80 (mainly British) trams built between 1873 and 1982. It is situated within a recreated period village that includes a working pub, café, old-style sweet shop, and tram depots.
The museum’s collection of trams runs through the village setting, transporting visitors out into the local countryside and back.
The site comprises several distinct areas, with the museum’s tramway running either through or adjacent to all of them. The museum’s main entrance delivers visitors to the Victoria Park area, but the trams start their journey at Town End, a walk or short tram ride under the Bowes Lyon Bridge and down Period Street.
Crich Tramway village in Derbyshire is believed to be very haunted, with several spooky stories and ghostly encounters reported over the years.
With so many different artefacts and relocated buildings from different eras, given its status as a historic site with vintage trams, cobbled streets and buildings, it is no surprise that paranormal activity has been reported in and around the village.
