Ghost Hunt – Strutt’s Haunted School House.
Amidst the mist-shrouded landscapes of Derbyshire’s heartland, there lies a place that time seems to have forgotten – Strutt School in Belper. The very essence of this establishment exudes an aura of secrecy and enigma, as though it guards its own hidden narratives with a tenacious grip.
Built opposite Babington Workhouse, within its cold, stone walls, the whispers of a bygone era resonate. A piano has been heard playing on its own. Whispers, screams and shouting have all floated down its corridors from unknown sources. But there’s something more, something that lingers in the air like a delicate mist, an intangible presence that defies explanation.
Visitors have reported unexplained drops in temperature and feelings of being watched. Perhaps by the ghosts of former pupils and teachers? Doors have slammed shut and locked on their own. Objects and furniture have been seen moving without any person nearby. As twilight descends upon the school, the dim light casts elongated shadows, seemingly morphing the hallways into an ever-shifting labyrinth of mystery.
