Reports of Hauntings still remain one of the largest unexplained phenomena in the world.
Almost all of us a some point in our lives have wondered what lies beyond the grave. What are spirits and ghosts, and why do they sometimes return to visit the living?
Just as ghosts take many forms, so do their intentions and the way they interact with the living, supernatural entities can be classified into types of ghosts and spirits, with each one of them having its own particular characteristics.
So what are Ghosts?
‘Ghosts’ are supernatural versions of things that once existed in the natural world.
The traditional view of ghosts is that they are the spirits of dead people that for some reason are “stuck” between this plane of existence and the next, often as a result of some tragedy or trauma. Ghosts on the other hand often leave you with an eerie feeling, and can at times make you uncomfortable. They can appear as an apparition, shadow, orbs or ectoplasm mist. They may also be attached to an object or living person.
What are Spirits?
‘Spirits’ refer to entities that have only ever existed in the supernatural world. Usually Spirits make you feel calm, comforted and reassured. They often appear in dreams or you may see them as an apparition, either way, the feeling surrounding a Spirit is often calm.
