Ghost Walk Bradgate Park
Now a public park in Charnwood Forest, North-West Leicestershire’s historic Bradgate Park was once the family home of Lady Jane Grey – Queen of England for just 9 days, aged 16. The sprawling expanse of Bradgate Park stretches like a forgotten tapestry over 850 acres, its ancient woods and open meadows concealing a wealth of secrets beneath their tranquil facade. As daylight fades and shadows deepen, an air of mystery descends upon this seemingly serene landscape, revealing the hidden enigmas that lie within.
In the midst of the park lies the ruins of 16th-century Bradgate House, its skeletal remains a haunting reminder of a grandeur long past. The fractured walls seem to echo with the laughter and footsteps of those who once walked its halls, their spectral presence lingering like a fading memory in the fading light. The weather-worn ruins exude an atmosphere of both melancholy and intrigue.
