Ghost Hunt, National Civil War Museum: Situated in the middle of historic town Newark on Trent, The National Civil War centre is an absolute treasure trove of buildings, artefacts, history and not least paranormal activity. The Centre spreads through 2 period properties over 4 floors.
The main story here is the Civil War, which was one of the bloodiest chapters in Britain’s history and wiped out 1 in 20 of the population. The conflict from 1642 to 1646 split families as they took up sides with the supporters of King Charles I, known as Cavaliers, or the Parliamentarians, nicknamed Roundheads. Newark was a critical site in the Civil War story; the whole town has a lot of residual energy.

So much residual energy at this venue best way to describe it is, BUSY. Upon arrival our medium picked up a male energy which continued to follow us around the older parts of the building, he came across as very assertive and dominant.
The cellars here were used as air raid shelters during WWII and an energy from that period did make itself known however we weren’t expecting the others – sorry no spoilers on this one. While walking around the collection area, there were certain objects that made us feel unwell… was it the objects, vortex or spirit? This is a complex venue with so much going on inside it is going be an excellent venue to investigate.
