Ghost Hunt Holme Pierrepont Hall – Nottingham

11 February @ 8:00 pm - 12 February @ 1:00 am

Ghost Hunt Holmepierrepont-Hall

Our Ghost Hunt at the stunning Holme Pierrepont Hall.

A beautiful Grade I listed building, Holme Pierrepont Hall is one of the most historically significant country houses in the East Midlands.

The Tudor manor house on the estate today was built by Sir William Pierrepont and dates back to 1500.  Since then, the building has had later additions and alterations making it what we see there today.

Does Sir William still feel connected to his beautiful family residence?

The hall is now the ancestral home of the Brackenbury family, who are direct descendants of the Pierrepont family… and there are still 3 generations living there today.

So what spirits continue to reside in their family home?

On arrival, you will go on an exclusive guided tour with the current owner of the hall.  And with access to the cellars, original Tudor house and the ballroom to name but a few, this location has so much to offer.

Which Pierrepont family members haunt here and why do they choose to stay?

With many ghost stories and lots of previous Haunted Heritage documented activity, this is the ideal location for a paranormal investigation.

Why not join us on our ghost hunt and see who you will encounter?

Experience this magnificent family home for yourself and be a part of discovering the Pierrepont and Brackenbury family who once considered the hall as their home.

This a rare and unique opportunity to visit this incredible venue after dark.

The History of Holme Pierrepont Hall

So if you like history and ancestry, then this location is perfect for you.

Descending from a Norman family the Pierreponts originally came over with William I in 1066 and settled in Nottinghamshire in 1280.

The Pierrepont family later acquired wealth which allowed them to build the Tudor manor house you see today which dates back to 1500.  The buildings have undergone additions and alterations over the years but the house still remains one of the most historically significant country houses in the East Midlands.  It has some of the earliest brickwork in the county.

Through the centuries, the Pierrepont name died out as the females of the families married and this is now the family home of the Brackenbury family, who are direct descendants of the Pierrepont family.

Holme Pierrepont Hall has had several notable ancestors, including Georgina Brackenbury who was a renowned artist and militant suffragette.

The Hall was requisitioned for military purposes in both World Wars and used for a training camp for young soldiers. The Hall was left unoccupied between wars but today remains a family home.
